Who is Train the Trainers for?

Train the Trainers is specifically designed to help WIRES members who wish to deliver WIRES approved training.

It's for members who have a sufficient level of skill and knowledge in the care of wildlife, and would like to go to the next step and acquire or consolidate skills that will enable them to present components of the WIRES RICC and WIRES Species Specialist Courses.

Train the Trainers will help you to build confident and personal delivery style as a trainer, and teach you the skills to run an effective and inclusive training environment that maintains the integrity of WIRES training material.

 

FAQs

Does the course include an assessment process? Yes, as part of the course you are assessed to confirm your training and delivery skills are at a satisfactory level. The purpose of the course is to produce WIRES Approved Trainers competent to train effectively, and maintain the standard of WIRES training material.

If assessed as competent, what training sessions can I present?

- Components of the RICC - with branch management approval.

- Specialised Species Courses - with relevant Standards Team approval.

Do you have to be a WIRES approved trainer to present courses? The short answer is, eventually YES, you will.
