If you are running Internet Explorer 8:
Under the Tools menu, you should see an item called Compatibility View and I'm guessing for you it is unticked. Select that item so it is ticked and the site should run fine.
I think from then on you will see a green-ish button to the right of the Address Bar that looks like a ripped page. Whenever another site isn't working or looking like it did before, you can click that to set Compatibility View for that site.
